Job summary

Classic Collision is hiring an Auto Body Technician to join a growing team committed to safety, quality, integrity, and heart in every repair. You will perform disassembly, repairs, welding, and reassembly following the repair plan and work orders to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

The role requires 2–3 years of collision repair experience and may prefer I-CAR/ASE certifications; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• I-CAR / ASE certifications preferred.
• 2-3 years’ collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License Required.
• Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Successful completion of background check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and preparing a 100% Repair Plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to minimize supplements and repair time.
• Plan work procedure: follow work orders for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat-operating equipment to gain access to damaged area; store parts to prevent damage.
• Mend damaged body by hammering, filling dents and welding replacement parts; ensure gaps and fits meet industry standards.
• Operate hand and power tools (welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sanders, spray guns, etc.).
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to Paint Dept.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Comply with Classic Collision SOPs, safety rules, and guidelines.
