Job summary

TAG Auto Group in Cedar Lake, IN seeks an experienced Auto Body Technician to repair damaged vehicle body parts in accordance with company standards and timeframes. You will analyze and fix damaged vehicles, repair, replace and refinish outer body parts, and work to restore structural integrity.

You will operate specialized tools, maintain a clean, safe work area, and collaborate with team members in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in collision repair.
• Knowledge of vehicle structure to remove/replace components.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong safety awareness and PPE use.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally over 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Repairs vehicles per estimate and established standards.
• Prepare vehicles for body repair and restore bodywork.
• Remove/replace damaged components and realign structural parts.
• Communicate with management on additional repairs needed.
• Maintain tools/equipment and keep the work area safe and organized.
• Follow federal, state and local regulations affecting body shop ops.
