Job summary

Classic Collision Union City Repair Center, 6895 Buffington Rd, Union City, GA 30291, USA, seeks an experienced collision repair technician. You will disassemble vehicles, identify repairs, plan procedures, and perform bodywork, welding, and finishing to restore safety and quality.

You’ll work with hand and power tools, follow SOPs, and collaborate with estimators and the Paint Dept. A team-focused, safety-conscious environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 2-3 years’ collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License Required.
• Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Successful completion of background check required.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble vehicle to assist estimators in assessing damage and preparing a repair plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• Plan work procedure following work order for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access damaged areas; store parts safely.
• Mend damaged body by hammering, filling dents, welding parts; align gaps to standards; reinstall after painting.
• Operate hand and power tools (welder, torches, hammers, sander, spray guns, etc.).
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before handing to Paint Dept.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Comply with Classic Collision SOPs, safety rules, and guidelines.
