Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through precise assessment and high-quality repairs to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.

You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while aligning with team KPIs and acting as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group. The role requires completing OJT or a technical program and hands-on use of body repair tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods for vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of tools used for auto body work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass, windshields, and interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts, repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
