Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Tampa, FL is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous assessment and repair of vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition.

You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, realign chassis, replace parts, weld, and repaint to exact standards while collaborating with team members to meet KPIs and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repairs and prepare estimates; use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Hammer dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields.
• Weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles to factory standards.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines; inspect repairs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
