Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking a skilled body repair technician to examine damaged vehicles, plan repairs, and communicate status with teammates. You will perform quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind, and make decisions on repair vs.

replace, considering safety and cost. Requirements include frame machine proficiency, I-CAR welding certification, and knowledge of vehicle repair processes; experience guiding apprentices is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to use frame machine.
• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Works and communicates with teammates on vehicle repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decides on repair vs. replace considering safety and cost.
• Removes upholstery and related components to access repair areas.
• Participates in safety meetings.
• Files and sands repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
• Directs an apprentice when needed and explains procedures.
