Qualifications

• Certification in body repair completed or preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decides on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, accessories, and trim to access vehicle components.
• Participates in safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces with power/hand tools.
• Directs the work of an apprentice as needed.
