Gerber Collision & Glass in New Albany, Indiana, is seeking an Auto Body Technician to perform meticulous vehicle repairs to restore pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, including dents, frames, glass, and interiors, while ensuring speed, quality, and customer excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Experience with body repair tools and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare repair work and cost estimates.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler as needed.
• Realign chassis/frames and replace damaged sections.
• Replace glass, interior parts, and repaint with factory-approved finishes.
• Ensure work orders are completed within labor guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
