Job summary

The Boyd Group in Smyrna, TN seeks an Auto Body Technician to repair vehicles to pre-accident condition with emphasis on speed, quality, and customer excellence. You will assess and repair bodies, disassemble and reassemble components, and work with teammates to meet KPI targets.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; technical school or a 3-year apprenticeship is preferred. You must be able to operate body shop tools and lift up to 30 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers; uses tools to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents, applies filler resins, realigns chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with parts; repairs glass and interiors as needed.
• Welds and fits parts; prepaes and repaints vehicles to factory specifications or equivalents.
• Completes work orders within labor time guidelines and inspects vehicles after repair.
