Job summary

Classic Collision is seeking an Auto Body Technician to join a growing team. The role involves disassembly, repair planning, and using various tools to restore vehicles to safety and factory standards. The candidate should have 2-3 years of collision repair experience and a valid driver's license, with I-CAR/ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2-3 years collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist collision estimators in assessing damage and prepare a 100% repair plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to minimize supplements and repair time.
• Plan work procedure: follow work orders for all operations.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access damaged area.
• Mend damaged body by hammering, filling, welding, and reassembling after repairs are painted.
• Operate hand and power tools such as welders and spray guns.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before painting.
• Inspect and test drive to ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the shop.
