Auto Body Technician

Frank’s Truck Center is seeking a highly motivated Auto Body Repair Technician for our busy body shop in Lyndhurst, NJ.

Responsibilities:

• Remove damaged fenders, panels, and replace interior and exterior panels.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicles and perform body work.
• Perform quality repairs with exceptional fit and finishes.
• Handle plastic repairs, including bumpers and moldings.
• Refurbish damaged car and truck exteriors by repairing panels and removing dents.
• Have knowledge of body repair materials.
• Fill depressions with body filler.
• Straighten bent automobile frames.
• File, grind, sand, prime, and repair surfaces.
• Repair or replace defective mechanical parts.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of auto body technician experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Auto Body and/or technical school education preferred but not required.
• Painting experience is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to submit to a drug screen and background check.
