Job Description

The Auto Body Technician is responsible for assessing and repairing vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. The role involves disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles, working collaboratively with team members to meet KPIs, and acting as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Execute WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
  2. Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates using various tools.
  3. Repair dents, dings, and structural damage; replace damaged parts; repair or replace glass and interior parts.
  4. Weld and paint vehicles as per specifications.
  5. Complete work within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles post-repair.
  6. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of technical school or a 3-year apprenticeship.
  • Ability to read work orders and work independently.
  • Knowledge of vehicle body repair methods and tools.
Physical & Other Requirements
  • Ability to work safely in noisy, odorous environments.
  • Lift up to 30 pounds, inspect vehicles in various weather conditions, and perform physical tasks.
