Job description

The Auto Body Technician will make repairs to metal, plastic, and fiberglass parts of vehicles.

Compensation is negotiated based on experience.

As an auto body technician, you will plan the necessary repair work using various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers. Your responsibilities include hammering out dents, dimples, and minor body damage, mixing and applying filler resins for dents when other methods are not feasible, realigning chassis and frames to repair structural damage, and replacing damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts. You will also replace or repair glass, windshields, and interior parts as needed. The role involves welding, attaching or fitting parts, and preparing and repainting vehicles with factory-specified paint or an equivalent. Ensuring all work is correctly executed by inspecting vehicles after repairs is also essential.

Education / Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Physical requirements:

• Must supply your own general hand tools
• Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and safety inspections
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
