Job summary

Classic Collision is seeking an Automotive Collision Repair Technician to disassemble, assess, and repair damaged vehicles, using welding, cutting, and finishing techniques. You will follow precise work orders, minimize repairs, and ensure high-quality results before vehicles move to the painting stage.

You'll work with a supportive team, receive ongoing training, and benefit from competitive pay and benefits. A valid driver's license and 18+ years of age are required.

Qualifications

• I-CAR / ASE certifications preferred.
• 2-3 years’ collision repair experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and planning repairs.
• Identify all needed repairs to minimize supplements and repair time.
• Follow work orders; plan work procedure for all operations.
• Remove upholstery, electrical and hydraulic components to access damaged areas when needed; store parts properly.
• Repair or replace damaged parts; weld, hammer out and fit panels to industry standards.
• Operate hand and power tools including welder, soldering equipment and cutting torch.
• Finish surfaces by filing, grinding and sanding before handing vehicle to Paint Dept.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
