Job summary

VIVE Collision is seeking an Estimator to own the complete estimates and repair process after vehicle teardown, ensuring quality repairs in a timely manner. You will translate repair plans for Body Technicians and coordinate with insurance carriers to obtain authorizations.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in automotive collision repair estimating, strong communication skills, and proficiency with estimating software. I-CAR training is a plus and you will uphold DRP and BAR compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair estimating.
• Proficiency in sales, estimating, blueprinting, and customer service.
• Knowledge of BAR (CA) and DRP processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Estimate drive-in appointments and walk-ins; complete repair plans.
• Complete process review with the customer.
• Repair Orders: BAR (CA) and DRP compliance, including authorizations.
• Check in vehicle upon drop off with customer.
• Prepare final customer packet (DRP, final invoice).
• Comply with OEM repair procedures.
• Provide post-repair status updates.
• Final QC and test drive; deliver vehicle to customer.

Job description

An Estimator is responsible for owning the complete estimates and repair process post-vehicle teardown and ensuring quality repairs are provided in a timely manner. This position requires teammates to have a proven track record of high performance, possess an advanced level of technical knowledge regarding collision repair estimates, able to communicate detailed repair processes to Body Technicians, and be familiar with insurance carrier procedures and requirements.

Job Requirements

• Estimate all drive-in appointments as well as “walk-in” customers and complete repair plans
• Complete process review with the customer
• Repair Orders: All files are opened with BAR (CA) and DRP compliance, including obtaining proper authorizations
• Check in the vehicle upon drop off with the customer
• Prepare and complete proper paperwork for the final customer packet prior to vehicle delivery (DRP, final invoice)
• Comply with all up-to-date OEM repair procedures
• Provide post-repair plan communication, including all vehicle status updates.
• Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an excellent customer service experience.
• Final QC, including the test drive
• Deliver vehicle to customer upon completion

Skills and Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive collision repair preferred
• Proficiency in sales, estimating, blueprinting, and customer service
• I-Car training preferred
• Knowledge of the CCC ONE estimating system preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate with others
• Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders
• Multi-tasking; adapt quickly to fast-paced environments
