Valenti Chevrolet in Mystic, CT is seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager for our busy Collision Center to support the Bodyshop Manager and oversee daily operations.

You will lead shop staff, manage workflow for timely, high‑quality vehicle repairs and refinishing, and ensure safety and policy compliance.

Collaborating with customers, vendors, and insurers to facilitate approvals and payments, you will drive customer satisfaction and professional development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the auto body industry, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of auto body repair processes, materials, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with estimating software and CDK software repair documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Auto Body Manager in coordinating and supervising the auto body repair shop operations.
• Manage workflow to ensure timely repairs and refinishing.
• Provide leadership and guidance to shop staff, including training and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
• Work closely with customers to address concerns and guarantee satisfaction.
• Order parts and supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with vendors and insurance companies to facilitate repair approvals and payments.
