Job summary

Sedgwick is a leading provider of claims management services, seeking a Claims Examiner, Auto | Bodily Injury to analyze and process complex auto bodily injury and commercial transportation claims. You will review coverage, conduct investigations, determine liability, and assess damages to drive timely resolutions.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of auto policies, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of claims management experience or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication; PC literate; ability to work in a team.
• State adjusting licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto, commercial and personal line claims including bodily injury and ensures files are documented and coded.
• Responsible for litigation process on litigated claims.
• Coordinates vendor management with independent adjusters for investigations.
• Reports large claims to excess carriers.
• Develops action plans to meet state deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; handles salvage disposal.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client, and broker when appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality programs.
