Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner, Auto | Bodily Injury, to analyze and process complex bodily injury auto and commercial transportation claims, reviewing coverage, investigating liability, and evaluating damages. The role requires strong communication and collaboration across teams to meet client expectations.

Ideal candidates will have five years of claims management experience, a bachelor’s degree (preferred), and state adjuster licenses as required.

Qualifications

• Five years of claims management experience or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred
• Strong oral and written communication; PC literate; able to work in a team
• Secure and maintain state adjusting licenses as required

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto commercial and personal line claims, including bodily injury and ensures claim files are properly documented and coded correctly
• Responsible for litigation process on litigated claims
• Coordinates vendor management, including use of independent adjusters
• Reports large claims to excess carrier(s)
• Develops and maintains action plans to meet state deadlines and move files toward resolution
• Identifies subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage
• Communicates claim action with insured, client, and broker
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Supports the organization\'s quality programs
