Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is hiring a Behavioral Technician to work one-on-one with children and adults who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental and behavioral health needs.

The role involves helping clients develop social and communication skills, documenting progress, and implementing plans created by our BCBA team. Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with children and adults with special needs.
• Tech proficiency for documenting progress and using mobile devices.
• Must be fluent in English and able to follow caregiver instructions.
• CPR and First Aid certification current; 40-hour ABA training completed or provided.

Responsibilities

• Help clients work on social and communication skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Document progress and milestones for each session.
• Follow behavioral plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

Responsibilities:

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors
• Document child progress and milestones
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts

Qualifications:

• Passion for working with children and adults with special needs
• Excellent communication skills
• Technological proficiency including mobile devices for documentation
• Proficiency in the English language is required
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Successful completion of 40-hour and ABA Training. Training provided, must be completed prior to providing service.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Current PPD or Chest X Ray
• Ability to effectively elicit/ provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients)
• Completion of college coursework in one of the following programs: psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or a minimum of one year experience working with children in the following capacities: Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician required
