Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Aide/Technician to provide individualized ABA-based support in home or community settings.

You will work alongside Board Certified Behavior Analysts to help clients build communication and independence. The role emphasizes session progress tracking, adherence to behavior plans, and delivering structured interactions that promote meaningful growth for children and adults.

Qualifications

• English proficiency is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required; training provided.
• 40-hour ABA Training completed prior to service delivery.
• Strong communication skills essential.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental delays.
• Help individuals build social and communication skills.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately.
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs
• Proficiency in the English language is required
• Successful completion of 40‑hour and ABA Training. Training provided, must be completed prior to providing service.
• Technological proficiency including mobile devices for documentation
• Strong communication skills
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Current PPD or Chest X Ray
• Ability to effectively elicit/ provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co‑workers, clients)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Either:
• Completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development; or
• At least one year of experience working with children as a Child Development professional, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician
