Job summary

Centria Autism in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking Behavior Technicians to support children with autism through one-on-one interventions under a BCBA. You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training and expect patience, teamwork, and a caring attitude. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and obtain CPR/First Aid and TB testing as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must obtain RBT certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing intervention plans under a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Collaborate with a team and maintain a patient, compassionate approach.
