Balance Autism is seeking an Autism Associate in the Altoona, IA area. You will assist Persons Served with daily living skills, follow individualized plans, and support behavioral programs under supervision. The role emphasizes growth, data collection, and active involvement in team trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; training in autism behavior support is part of the role.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Experience or willingness to learn about autism-specific programming.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety needs of persons served are met and communicated to staff.
• Support individuals with autism toward independence in daily living, hygiene, social skills, and communication.
• Document progress and maintain records per guidelines.
• Engage in natural environment teaching and data collection to track goals.
• Participate in meetings and trainings to improve service consistency.
