Balance Autism is seeking an Autism Associate (Direct Support Professional) to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth with autism.

You’ll work with youth aged 3–17 in Altoona, IA, perform daily living tasks, track progress with data, and partner with families. We offer full-time and part-time roles, a $500 sign-on bonus, and a benefits package including health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18 years or older and able to meet background checks.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required.
• Pass pre-employment TB test and motor vehicle report.

Responsibilities

• Inspire personal growth and teach self-care.
• Encourage development of social skills and vocational skills when needed.
• Assist with daily living tasks including bathing, cleaning, cooking and daily plan goals.
• Collect and report data to support our person-centered approach.

Youth Home Autism Associates primarily work with youth aged 3-17 years old.

1st Shift: 6:00AM to 2:00PM
