Job summary

Allied-Services is seeking an Autism Support Specialist to provide supervision and support to residents to develop independence in residential settings. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and involves ensuring safety and adapting duties to age-specific needs.

Experience with autism/developmental disabilities is preferred, with CPR/First Aid within six months of hire. A PA driver's license and flexible schedule are required for program-related travel and activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years experience in working with individuals with autism/developmental/behavioral health disabilities preferred.
• CPR certification and First Aid certification must be obtained within the first six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• Must possess good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to residents to develop and grow towards greater independence.
• Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the age-specific needs of the residents served.
• Monitors all medications as prescribed by physicians for residents.
• Must adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures.
• Must be able to travel to various program locations as needed.

Education
