Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development, Microsoft Office, and interpersonal skills.
• Pass Praxis Parapro or GACE Parapro or provide PSC-equivalent.
• PSC Paraprofessional certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to instructional program in classroom and assist with special needs students.
• Supervise and care for students in regular education, special education, and community settings.
• Attend IEP meetings and help implement IEP goals.
• Reinforce learning objectives and adapt activities to needs.
• Administer first aid and medical assistance as directed.
• Administer tests, homework, and make-up work as needed.
• Assist with grooming, hygiene, and daily living needs for students.
• Communicate with teachers regarding student progress and behavior.
• Record data and maintain student files and attendance.
• Contribute to creating a safe and positive learning environment.
