Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a Paraprofessional for a full-time position in Boulder, CO. The role focuses on supporting students with autism in an intensive learning center, with hours roughly 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The position operates on school attendance days, with some training days throughout the year. The paraprofessional will assist during transit, support mobility needs, and help maintain a safe, structured learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of two years of special education public school classroom experience; training facility or private facility will not be considered as classroom experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities in boarding and exiting the bus safely when needed.
• Ensure all students are seated and secured properly during transit when needed.
• Provide support to students with mobility challenges, including assisting with wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
• Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Attend to the needs of individual students, including assisting with personal care tasks if necessary.
• Follow established safety protocols and emergency procedures in the event of an incident or emergency.
