Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a Paraprofessional to support students with autism in an elementary setting in Boulder, CO. The role combines a part-time schedule (20 hours per week) with a potential full-time description. Expect daily hours roughly 8:30 a.m.

to 12:30 p.m. on school days, with occasional training days. Responsibilities include assisting with bus safety and mobility, supporting learning activities, and collaborating with a dedicated team to help children succeed

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking to hire a full-time Paraprofessional in Boulder, CO. Part time position (20 hours per week). This is an elementary position in an intensive learning center for students with autism.

• Working hours are approximately 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

• Only work during student attendance days, except for 2 or 3 days training during the year

Required:

• Must have a minimum of two years of special education public school classroom experience, training facility or private facility will not be considered as classroom experience.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be a flexible team player.

Responsibilities:

• Assist students with disabilities in boarding and exiting the bus safely when needed.
• Ensure all students are seated and secured properly during transit when needed.
• Provide support to students with mobility challenges, including assisting with wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
• Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Attend to the needs of individual students, including assisting with personal care tasks if necessary.
• Follow established safety protocols and emergency procedures in the event of an incident or emergency.
• Help out with other tasks in the school when needed.
