Job summary

Dallastown Area School District seeks a Full-Time, 10-Month Autistic Support Paraprofessional for Loganville-Springfield Elementary School (Grades K-3). The role supports special education teachers in delivering services for students with IEPs and providing instructional assistance.

The ideal candidate will assist with materials, follow IEP instructions, and handle routine clerical tasks while contributing to a positive learning environment. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience with students on the autism spectrum preferred.
• Ability to carry out oral and written instructions and work with others.
• Completion of at least 20 hours of staff development related to assignment per year.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in presenting and developing learning materials.
• Carry out oral and written instructions from IEPs to support access to education.
• Perform routine clerical tasks as needed.
• Operate instructional media and office equipment.

Skills

Oral and written communication

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Two years post-secondary study (48 credits)
