Job summary

Dallastown Area School District seeks a Full-Time, 10-Month Autistic Support Paraprofessional for Loganville-Springfield Elementary School (Grades K-3). The role supports students with IEPs by assisting special education teachers in delivering services and instructional supports.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP-based instructions, creating learning materials with teachers, and performing clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with department assessment.
• 36-48 credits or higher: 48 credits minimum or an associate degree or higher.
• Experience with autism spectrum students; knowledge of ABA preferred.
• At least 20 hours of staff development related to assignment each school year.
• Strong communication and cooperative work; attendance record should be solid.
• Child-centered, warm, and responsive to children.

Responsibilities

• Carry out oral and written instructions including IEP guidance to enable access to education.
• Assist teachers with presenting and developing learning materials and instructional exercises.
• Perform routine clerical tasks.
• Operate instructional media and office equipment.
