Job summary

Fulton County Schools is seeking a paraprofessional to assist teachers and support staff in classrooms and learning centers. Duties include preparing materials, supporting student learning in small groups, and helping with daily routines.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to pass the GACE para assessment (or equivalent coursework hours), and a Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate eligibility. Prior classroom experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass the GACE para assessment; or 60 sem hours / 90 quarter hours or an Associate's Degree or higher at an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing educational materials.
• Work with students singly or in groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist with daily routines and record-keeping (attendance, supplies).
• Participate in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Help prepare and maintain bulletin boards and learning centers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the administrator.
