Job summary

New Story Schools in Paxtonia, PA is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students aged 5–21 with autism and behavioral challenges. You will assist teachers with academics, behavior support, and daily living goals to help each student reach meaningful outcomes.

Under teacher guidance, you’ll implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans, monitor progress, and help with transitions and personal care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least three months of experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and self-care goals
• Implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance
• Assist students with transitions, activities, and personal care as needed
• Collect and record behavioral and progress data
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
