Job summary

Frisco ISD is seeking a Special Education Aide to work in a Structured Learning Class (SLC) setting, supporting students with autism and other communication disorders. The role focuses on language, behavior, and functional routines, aligned with TEKS and ABA principles.

The ideal candidate will assist the lead teacher with instructional materials, records, and student support, including personal care and behavioral management, across elementary to middle school levels.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Ability to work with children with disabilities as described in the job posting.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Help teacher prepare instructional materials and keep records.
• Provide assistance to substitute teachers and students with disabilities.
• Assist students with physical disabilities (may require lifting) and manage behavior.
• Support instructional needs per IEPs and assist with personal care as appropriate.
• Work with individuals or small groups and monitor student progress.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in staff development as assigned.
