Job summary

QSAC Education in Whitestone/Douglaston/Bronx is seeking a Special Education Teacher licensed for NYS Students with Disabilities. You will implement IEPs, manage classrooms, and attend annual IEP meetings, with extensive training and growth opportunities.

The role requires NYS certification and experience with ASD/ABA is preferred. Salary ranges from $65,000 to $90,000 per year, with comprehensive benefits and professional development.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities (SWD) or Internship Certificate minimum.
• Experience with ASD and ABA strategies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formal and informal assessments of educational programs and behavior interventions.
• Implement and adhere to IFSP/IEP/Student Program.
• Prepare for and attend all pertinent pre-IEP and IEP conferences.
• Administer curriculum-based and standardized assessments.
• Differentiate learning based on IEP goals.
• Implement behavior management plans and data collection procedures as needed.
• Supervise Teaching Assistants/Aides in program implementation.
• Ensure health, safety & welfare of QSAC students.
• Meet with parents to provide progress updates.
