Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to assist teachers in delivering a high-quality education program. Paraprofessionals will work with school staff to create an educational environment where quality and continuity are key factors in educating students.

Responsibilities include direct instruction support, materials preparation, classroom setup, behavior management, and supervision during field trips.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 48 credit hours of college coursework or an Associate's degree or passing ParaPro/WorkKeys assessment.
• Minimum of two years experience working with young children.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provides assistance with classroom activities and prepares instructional materials.
• Assists in classroom set up and clean up.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior using prescribed approaches.
• Supervises students on field trips.
• Performs other related duties as requested by Head of School/Principal.
