Job summary

Christopher Baily private school in New York seeks a NYS-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join a collaborative, interdisciplinary team. CFY candidates with autism experience are welcome, with a focus on functional communication and AAC across a small caseload.

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA; CFY applicants with autism experience welcome.
• Must hold NYS Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Must hold TSSLD certification (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities).
• Experience with ASD is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of basic sign language.
• Knowledge of programming AAC apps.
• Familiarity with oral-sensory-motor exercises and feeding.

Responsibilities

• Focus on Functional Communication.
• Directly impact student progress by collaborating with teachers, support services, and ABA instructors in a push-in model.
• Develop and implement communication goals using static visuals, high-tech devices (iPads), and total communication.
• Support skill development across receptive/expressive language, pragmatics, motor speech, and feeding.
• Maintain a small caseload to ensure quality therapy time and progress documentation.
• Lead annual testing, bi-annual reports, and IEP development with weekly data tracking.
• Collaborate with ABA team to implement behavior plans.
