Job summary

Framingham Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Aide to support students with disabilities in the Juniper Hill Preschool autism program for the 2026-2027 school year.

You will assist in implementing ABA-based strategies, support social-pragmatic and academic goals, and collaborate with certified staff to create a positive learning environment. A $1,500 stipend is available for eligible paraprofessionals in autism classrooms.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher required or two years of post-secondary education equivalent to 48 credit hours; Parapro Test may be required
• Some experience with children, especially those with disabilities in Autism, Developmental Delays, Multiple Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, and Emotional Disabilities, is preferred
• Additional specialized training in child development, education, or a related field is desirable

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction and supervision of students with disabilities under classroom teacher direction
• Support students with IEPs and standardized tests as needed
• Attend training and maintain certification in de-escalation and physical management techniques
• Collect data on student progress and report concerns to teachers
• Escort and supervise students to and from facilities
• Promote independence and assist with everyday tasks including toileting as needed
• Protect student confidentiality and comply with FERPA/HIPAA
