Job summary

Framingham Public Schools invites applications for a Special Education Assistant Teacher for the Autism Program at Juniper Hill School. You will assist students with disabilities under the direction of a certified teacher in a substantially separate program focusing on Autism supports.

The role engages in intensive behavioral training through ASD strategies and requires collaboration with staff to support social-pragmatic and academic readiness goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 48 credits or equivalent, or must pass Parapro Test.
• Experience with children with disabilities, especially Autism, preferred.
• Desirable: specialized training in child development or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities under direction of a certified teacher.
• Support ASD program with intensive behavioral strategies and routines.
• Contribute to social, academic, and behavioral development of students.
