The EASTCONN's Bridges Community School (Autism Program) is seeking a Student Support Specialist II to provide 1:1 support with children with autism and related disabilities in Columbia, Connecticut. The candidate will work under supervision of a Special Education Teacher, assisting students and staff to foster a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualified applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED; prior experience as a Student Support Specialist I or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Employment as a Student Support Specialist I or comparable position
• Or: Combination of education and experience that is substantial equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to children with autism and related disabilities.
• Work under the supervision of a Special Education Teacher or certified staff.
• Assist students and classroom staff to promote a safe and healthy learning environment.
