Job summary

The Creekside School in California is seeking an Autism Paraprofessional to support students with autism and developmental disabilities throughout the day. You will assist in classrooms, during activities, and during transitions, helping students engage and participate with coaches and therapists.

You'll collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, and families to implement IEPs and BIPs, collect data, and promote independence and positive behavior.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in implementing IEPs and BIPs.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with autism.
• Encourage communication, social interaction, independence, and positive behavior.
• Assist with academic, behavioral, recreational, vocational, and daily living activities.
• Maintain a structured, safe, and positive classroom environment.
• Collect behavioral and academic data as directed.
• Collaborate with teachers, behavior professionals, therapists, and families.
• Support students during classroom instruction, community instruction, and transitions.
• Assist with personal care and mobility needs when appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies.
