The Creekside School in San Jose, CA is hiring Autism Paraprofessionals to support students with autism and developmental disabilities within a person-centered educational program. You’ll build relationships, reinforce learning, and help students develop essential skills in a collaborative setting.

You’ll work with Teachers, Behavior Specialists, BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, and families to promote learning, inclusion, confidence, and growth, with paid training and career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to supporting students with autism.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, flexible, and professional in a dynamic educational environment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist students during the day.

Responsabilités

• Support teachers in implementing IEPs and BIPs.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with autism and extensive support needs.
• Encourage communication, social interaction, independence, and positive behavior.
• Assist with academic, behavioral, recreational, vocational, and daily living activities.
• Help create a structured, safe, and positive classroom environment.
• Collect behavioral and academic data as directed.
• Collaborate with Teachers, Behavior Specialists, BCBAs, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and families to support student success.
• Support students during classroom instruction, community-based instruction, school activities, and transitions.
• Assist students with personal care and mobility needs when appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with school policies, IEPs, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Participate in required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
