Job summary

Shrub Oak International School (SOIS) seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to support autistic students across educational and residential settings. The role emphasizes evidence-informed intervention in a therapeutic, multi-disciplinary environment on a scenic 127-acre campus.

The successful candidate will hold NYS licensure (CCC-SLP preferred) and TSSLD certification; experience with AAC and interdisciplinary collaboration is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in SLP required.
• Active NYS licensure in good standing preferred.
• CCC-SLP certification required or in good standing.
• TSSLD certification preferred for school setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate communication needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Support functional communication across educational, residential, and community settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and families.
• Promote participation, independence, and quality of life for autistic students.
• Provide speech-language therapy within a transdisciplinary model and document progress.
