Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking an immediate Paraeducator Level II for Special Education Itinerant - Autism at Magruder High School. This 6.5-hour-per-day, 10-month position supports students with IEPs and may participate in off-site activities, under the direction of the principal.

The role requires knowledge of instructional strategies, ability to manage behaviors, and proficiency with Google Workspace and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of experience with students in structured educational settings preferred.
• If no related education coursework, then two to four years of experience with children/adolescents in a structured setting required.

Responsibilities

• Promote student learning and well-being for students with IEPs.
• Support instructional activities and manage behavior during lessons.
• Assist with off-site participation and scheduled activities as needed.
• Perform related clerical tasks to support teachers and staff.
