Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent coursework in Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative problem solving skills.
• Successful prior experience with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and adapting curricula.
• Knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning and their application.
• Ability to plan lessons and work independently with individuals and groups.
• Commitment to the District’s Vision Plan.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to eligible students in classrooms, schools and related settings.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff and families.
• Adhere to district policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and records.
• Attend and participate in IEP/EST/EPT meetings when requested.
• Collaborate with supervisor to address student needs and plan instruction.
• Support classroom teachers and other staff as needed.
• Implement behavior programs as directed and assist with therapy-related goals.
