Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate or eligibility for certification.
• GACE Basic Skills/Test and Special Education content tests completed or exempted.
• Knowledge of disability areas and inclusive instructional practices.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements the Individual Education Program (IEP) for each student on the caseload.
• Collaborates with general education teachers and parents to support learning.
• Maintains timely, accurate paperwork within designated timelines.
• Delivers specialized instruction aligned to IEP goals and student needs.
• Uses data-driven behavior management strategies including FBAs and BIPs.
• Communicates regularly with parents/guardians about progress and updates.
• Provides resources and support to classroom staff implementing accommodations.
