Job summary

The Trellis School in Sparks, MD is hiring entry-level Autism Instructors for a full-time program. In this role you will work one-on-one with learners and receive extensive training and coaching in ABA/VB teaching strategies.

Starting pay scales by education level are posted, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and paid training. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:45am–3:45pm, at Trellis School facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.
• Dependability—punctual and responsive to management feedback.
• Planning/organizing—detail oriented and efficient with time.
• Proficiency with Trellis data systems and Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute naturalistic lesson plans outside of the classroom for learners.
• Demonstrate ABA/VB teaching strategies to shape skills in multiple settings.
• Implement individualized behavior, toileting, and feeding protocols.
• Accurately complete daily data tracking and input responsibilities.
• Participate in team meetings and high-profile meetings for students.
• Create and prepare instructional materials for individual learners.
• Support arrival, lunch, dismissal, field trips and other procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
