Job summary

The Trellis School in Sparks, MD is hiring entry-level Autism Instructors for full-time roles. You will work with learners one-on-one, implement ABA/VB teaching strategies, and receive extensive training and coaching.

Schedule Monday–Friday, 7:45am–3:45pm, with a 12-month program and paid training. Starting pay scales by education level: $21.00/hr for High School Diploma, $21.50/hr for Associate's, $22.00/hr for Undergraduate, and $23.00/hr for Masters.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; degrees preferred.
• Ability to work with children with autism.
• Proficiency with Trellis data systems and MS Office.
• Read and follow MD curriculum guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute naturalistic lesson plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Demonstrate ABA/VB strategies to shape learner skills across environments.
• Implement learners’ behavior, toileting, and feeding protocols.
• Accurately complete daily data tracking and input responsibilities.
• Prepare instructional materials for individual learners.
• Participate in team meetings and high-profile student meetings.
• Support school procedures and adapt to schedule changes.
• Attend mandatory trainings and maintain English reading/writing proficiency.
