Job summary

Foundations Behavioral Health in Doylestown, PA provides innovative behavioral health treatment and academic excellence to youths up to 21 years old, including autism-focused programs. We hire Mental Health Techs for full-time evening shifts and part-time day/evening/night shifts with every-other-weekend rotations.

Responsibilities include direct patient care under RN supervision, crisis de-escalation, documentation, therapy groups, vital signs, and ADL assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Option 1: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in an area of human services, which includes, but may not be limited to the following: psychology sociology, political science, counseling, criminal justice, pastoral counseling, elementary/special education, or family therapy.
• Option 2: High School diploma/GED plus 2 years of experience in a human services role involving direct contact (e.g., coaching, teaching, case management)
• Must be compassionate and demonstrate understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders
• Respiratory Fit Testing required

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu by following program schedules and behavior plans.
• Utilize appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
• Complete required clinical documentation.
• Lead therapeutic group sessions.
• Record patient vital signs.
• Assist nurses with head-to-toe assessments.
• Assist patients and residents with activities of daily living when needed (brushing teeth, dressing, toileting, showering, etc.).
• Overtime eligible on various shifts.
