Job summary

MaineHealth Education Services is seeking an Educational Technician III to provide instruction and behavioral support within a home/community program for 1-3 year olds with autism. You will work under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher and Director to help students achieve goals across communication, play, socialization, self-care, cognitive, behavior, and motor domains.

Requirements include 90 credits, Maine DOE ETT III certification (or must obtain within 90 days), and a valid

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of 90 credits of approved study required.
• License/Certifications: Certification as an Education Technician III from the Maine Department of Education (minimum of 90 credits in approved study) required or must obtain within 90 days of start date. Valid Driver’s License and access to transportation required.
• Experience: Two years of experience in special education, early childhood or a related field preferred. Experience/interest in working with children ages 1-3 with autism and other developmental disabilities preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of the Educational Tech II role.
