Autism New Jersey seeks a Helpline Coordinator to provide non-clinical autism information and navigate disability service systems in New Jersey for the 800.4.AUTISM Helpline. You will handle calls and emails, record interactions, and collaborate with professionals and families in crisis.

The role requires a master’s degree related to social services, strong communication skills, and the ability to present information effectively. Monday–Friday schedule; some events and evenings may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in social work, human services, direct service provision, special education, or related field.
• Ability to learn, understand, and recall complex ideas and solve novel problems.
• Excellent time management and calendar control.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

• Answer calls and respond to emails on the Helpline.
• Work compassionately with individuals and families in crisis.
• Record call progress and notes in the agency’s system.
• Attend information fairs and community events.
• Develop relationships with service providers and state actors.
• Learn and master information about autism and service navigation.
