Job summary

A dedicated care provider in Newark, NJ is seeking compassionate individuals to provide direct care and support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, implementing behavior management strategies, and ensuring safety at all times. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience or education, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact. CPR certification is mandatory, and a valid driver's license is required for transportation purposes. This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience or education in social work or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and behavior management techniques required.
• Experience working with children or in a childcare setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene.
• Implement behavior management strategies.
